The University of Saarbruecken 

The campus of the university is only a ten minutes busride away from downtown Saarbruecken, surrounded by forrest and nevertheless filled with pulsating life of over 15.000 students and 2000 employees. Founded in 1948 in cooperation with france, the university is always interested in innovative and international projects. Therefore there are many German-French or European final degrees, many cooperations with partner universities all over the world and about 17 % of foreign students.

The university offers a broad range of fields of study. There are 8 faculties in fields like law, business studies, medicine, the humanities, natural sciences and technics.

The campus offers ideal aereal conditions for an event like the Attac European Summer University. It has a huge audimax, an auditorium, a central refectory, a parking garage, several gyms, grass land and so on, all only few minutes walk apart from each other. Furthermore there is a good bus connection to downtown. The ESU-Team will try to provide a special ESU-Ticket for our participants which allows to stay mobile all over the town during the whole ESU.
Accomodation will be managed by the Saarbruck preparation team, further information you find on the registration site.
We would like to provide our participants with good, affordable, organic and vegetarian food in the refectory. We will not only be able to learn a lot, but also have time to party, relax and communicate.
And we work on getting a good translation service for all forums, plenary sessions and some of the workshops. We will give our best to realize a fantastic and unforgetable ESU, with political growth and knowledge for all and lots of fun.
